I know its really slow, there is no way to fix it. VB.Net is a totally different language from VB6, its not compiled. The code is ran as is using a virtual machine, which makes it much more flexible but a lot slower. You can see this when you load a screen, the pictures and text and stuff are kinda slow being painted. Its drawn on the fly. VB.Net requires a much more powerful computer. I have see that if you have a very fast computer, the game will run very well, even better than vb6, but if you have a slow computer, it will run very slow. I unfortunately have no solution, I dont any code will make it run faster. If anybody out there does though let me know. Sorry guys, its a trade off. Maybe Microsoft will make it better when .Net 2005 comes out, I have no idea.

well, I don't know about loading, but to make gameplay (walking around)
faster, try taking off the 'draw weather' option if it is on. Otherwise, I don't have a clue.

The game runs fine on fast machines like 2ghz and up. Other than that it will be VERY slow.
